Oh, no! Dear Hecate, many hugs for you! The sweet lady kitty is romping like a kitten on the other side of the rainbow bridge, waiting for you very patiently, being kept company by all your dogs and cats who went before. Hugs doll.
And hugs for MJS, who lost Michelle's dog, Emma, also this week. Sad times.

How sweet...and perfect. I hate seeing our furry friends leave even when it's the best for them. They leave such holes in our hearts and lives.

Re: Memorial Garden
I had some news I was waiting to share. My daughter in law has been pregnant. I was waiting until they knew the sex of the baby. We were all so happy. She was 5 months along and lost the baby last night. Apparently the baby had died over a month ago. She was concerned as she had not felt him kick for the last month. She is Rh negative and I am not sure if that had anything to do with it or not. She had not received her shot yet, but it was still early.
The boys are disappointed they won't be having "a cutie little baby". But they are all handling things as well as possible. Not much anyone can do, but I am so sad at the loss of my new grandchild. I was so looking forward to another baby.
Anyway I thought I would share my grief here.

Re: Memorial Garden
Thank you all for your comments, good thoughts and prayers. I am having a hard time stopping the tears. I didn't realize how attached you can be to a baby before he is born. I know it will pass, but it is so hard. I already had material for his quilt and some new baby clothes.
They have decided not to try again so I will save them for one of my other grandchildren (from my other kids). Thanks again to all of you.

Re: Memorial Garden
missypotter,I'm so sad and disappointed for you. Both my nieces have lost babies that way and it is devastating.
I wish them all well.
You,too. That's got to be a special sadness only shared by those who've experienced it.

I'm sure most of his leading ladies are welcoming him! As well as old gambling buddies from the Maverick days. Sad to see him go.

Re: Memorial Garden
Can't see anyone else as Maverick, really enjoyed watching him over the years. Especially liked him with Gena Rowlands in The Notebook, very touching. He will be missed for sure.

Re: Memorial Garden
I really think TV was a special medium for James Garner, though I loved him in The Great Escape,Victor/Victoria and Murphy's Romance.
Maverick and Rockford...and those tv movies as he aged...and how well did he age...a sexy, sexy man well into his 80s. And, you never heard any negative gossip about him either...he seemed a decent man.
I'm sure he'll bring a casual elegance and humor to the celestial plane.
oh I forgot....The Polaroid commercials....were they not the best?

Re: Memorial Garden
Another life burned out. Robin Williams shall be missed very much. One of the best entertainers of our time, from his live performances - for public or the Armed Forces - to his acting skills in Dead Poets Society to Good Will Hunting and the delightful Mrs. Doubtfire. His version of Teddy Roosevelt in The Night at the Museum trilogy (last one he finished comes out by Christmas), Good Morning Vietnam to all the animated characters and voice acting. His spirit of bringing joy and laughter, and trying not to cry at some of the sweetest things. I will miss his spirit so.

Re: Memorial Garden
If it was an accident yes will be welcomed. If it was suicide, he turns around to face the same path over again, reborn immediately. Sucks either way that he has left us.

Re: Memorial Garden
And another classic lady is gone - Lauren Bacall will be welcomed by her male film partners for a rousing party on the other side. 89. Wow. Lighting a candle for her.

Re: Memorial Garden
The world has lost two great talents. It's sad that Robin Williams left the world in such a way, I hope he has found peace and will keep both actors families in my thoughts.
