Ok. My blood is boiling right now and I really need to vent!! You all know about my husband and his "getting fired" and losing our health insurance. He refuses to pay for health insurance on our children because it would cost him too much. I have been struggling to get Eric on medicaid, and since he qualifies for disability he will get medicare next month. Great. But Jesse I pay for his MoHealthNet coverage. I have been paying $22. Since my husband is working now, and I got a measly raise (if you can call it that) in social security, they are going to raise his premiums. At first they said it would be increased to $73 a month. This is going to hurt. But now I got a letter today, with a new figure on their chart, and if I am correct, they are going to raise his monthly premiums to $179!!!! I cannot afford that! I don't even think if my husband manned up and paid for insurance at his job that it would be that much a month. I'm furious. I am going to call the medicaid office tomorrow and ask them what is going on and see what I can do. You know, child support and alimony are going to cost a whole hell of a lot more.

Sorry muggleborn. I hope it was a mistake on their part.

muggleborn, I too, hope that is a clerical error. That is a huge jump, but everything to do with government/insurance has jumped. My sister doesn't know how she is going to pay for her jump in Medicare.

MMD, I understand. I am waiting on two teeth that need root canals and crowns. Can't afford them so using Oral Jel.

Weesa, hope there is good news that at least someone knows what the problem is so there is a way to move forward. It really sounds terrible. You will be in my prayers.

Missy P, not sure if I've already said this or not, so forgive me if I am repeating myself. Have you tried Sensodyne? I use their Pronamel, and it is fantastic for keeping my tooth nerves under control, until I chew something very hard, then they zing. But for every day brushing of teeth, I have had 0 issues with using this toothpaste for the last 4 years, at least, since my dentist said I need a root canal. I'm sorry, just because I have a broken tooth, doesn't mean I want to fork out all that cash for a crown that may or may not work, and a root canal! So, give it a try. Orajel numbs everything, Pronamel keeps the pain at bay without the numbness all over! I can still taste & feel everything. Just no pain.

Muggleborn you are in my thoughts. I am still waiting for the good changes this year is meant to bring, or atleast I thinkg I remember somebody saying that.

As for broke teeth had one pulled (had to save up) and I have one he says he can save once I get three more pulled and have a good cleaning. Hope to have the money saved up soon.

My sister had broken a tooth. She is disabled too, she has MS, so she is on disability. Very limited income and medicare. Medicare doesn't cover dental at all so she had to wait until she had enough money to see a dentist and arrange payments to have it extracted. Now her partial doesn't fit so she'll have to save up more money to have it fixed. That will probably never happen when you live from one month to the next and are barely getting by. If only we could win the lottery!

Weesa, you are in my prayers for better feeling and resulsts. It looks like you are struggling a lot of health problems lately.

Muggleborn, I hope your sister can solve the situation soon. No fun to live with a broken tooth. I visit dentist twice per year just to be sure my teeth are o.k. Would like to keep them in my mouth till my last day.

Muggleborn that is my situatation too, hope your sister can get her partial fixed sooner than later. The lottery would be nice, but I am not holding my breath for it.

Went by the house I just moved out of - he butchered every tree and bush in the yard! There is a stub where the privet bush was, the other privet that I trimmed back he took another foot off of in each direction. The rhody which was a beautiful bush, now an 'artfully' trimmed stick with some leaves on the top. Couldn't see down the side of the house - was too shocked about the front.

It's going to take the weeping cherry years to weep again, and I'm sure the apple trees are now dead. Good lord, he should have just hired someone.

Then again, there is a guy in town who does this kind of work to beautiful trees - I think he's killing them, they come out looking like your child's sucker trees? A ball on a stick. They have removed 99% of the shrubs and plants from around the library. It was beautiful! No it's desolation. What is it with people? Green is good!

So glad I did move.

One day, I'll be in a place I can make as green as I want.

Karentia I am not a green thumb so I have sense enough to leave these things to Mom who is. I love all types of plants/flowers/trees/shrubs so I'm with you in not understanding this kind of treatment of them.

Karentia sorry to hear about the shrubs and such, some people get going and they don't know when to stop! Unfortunately hubby is that way, and there is no convincing him he is doing the pruning wrong Oh well the stuff around here has grown used to it, hopefully you and your friend will be able to make your soon to be new house a place of soothing peaceful beauty!

I am just frustrated. About 5 weeks ago we took my car in to get the transmission fluid changed. When we got it back I noticed it was leaking clear fluid. So after a couple of weeks I took it back. We took it back 3 times and they can't find the leak.

Today we took it in and they took it to a transmission specialist. I took it in at noon and they didn't get it done so I am out another day tomorrow without a car. I hate it when professionals don't get things right after several tries and I know it will end up costing me more money.

Now, why on earth would it be leaking clear fluid from the transmission? Tranny fluid, if I remember, is pink? Brake fluid is clear, gas is pale yellow, and radiator fluid is neon yellow. But if your brake line has been compromised from the master cylinder, should not be near the tranny... doesn't make sense for clear fluid to come from the tranny. I'm stumped. But then I'm also not there with you. Oh, steering fluid I think is also clear. Need to check mine. Good luck! Hope you get your baby back as good as new!
