Ask Phoebe Empty Television!

Post  SleeperSell Tue Aug 16, 2011 4:22 pm

I'm a TV-holic - is it possible to add a section to the Entertainment Library for television? Or should it be considered an adjunct to the movies category...

Aside:
Anyone else excited about "Let's kill Hitler"?

I was wondering this myself last night. Would like to get a few more opinions but I'm of the mind to give it it's own home, there are tons of tv shows and I'm afraid they could take over the movies.

Just wondering if I could customize colors? The orange is nice and all, but kind of hard on my eyes.

I'm pretty sure it can be, Muggleborn. I'll check with Weesa since she is the one who designed this layout.

Hi, I was wondering whether it might be possible for me to invite a friend to the site. She is a very nice lady who is an Alan Rickman and Harry Potter fan, who loves photoshopping! I thought I would ask, as I was kindly invited myself, and want to live by the rules.

Thank you!

Oh Tamsin Yeobright, you don't need permission to come to the site!!!!!! I'm sure anyone you know will be a welcomed member. We're only concerned about people who want to create nasty drama or introduce spam or bad links. This is a drama free zone (unless we're agonizing over some lovely dramatic scene by a certain actor some of us are crazy for!)

We issued invitations to HPANA members only because we wanted them to know we existed and were trying to carry on our love for all things Potter while the original site was offline. Should HPANA start up,I'm sure we can move back, but in the meantime we're here and we've lots to offer (we think)

Please spread the word to any creative person you know who's interested in AR,Harry Potter, spritual paths and entertaining outlets.

Weesa, not sure. Maybe it's the orange? I have problems with my eyes, so it might be fine for everyone else. It's just too, I don't know, straining? Even turning down the brightness doesn't help, so maybe it's the orange color?

muggleborn,it's not just your eyes,I find the orange a bit of a strain, too but I don't stay around posting long enough to have it become a problem..I take little breaks.

On the other hand, on a dreary day,it can be a huge boost for the spirits.

I do know that a yellow/black combination is supposed to be the most attention grabbing..this golden orange isn't too far behind, so it makes the print stand out but can be tough on the vision after awhile.

I admit when trying to catch up in the Hogshead last night, was a bit trying on the eyes to scoot through all the posts. But I also appreciate the mood boosting effect the colors give out. Frustrating.

But it also brings the phoenix to life - being a fire bird... confused

I've made some changes to the colors around the site. I would appreciate any and all feedback.

There's a great html color chart at http://www.immigration-usa.com/html_colors.html which might be of assistance... including some nice pastel colors that might work for the posts background and still keep the phoenix color scheme. The bright colors are fun and cheerful, but a tad tiring on the eyes. Pastel versions could make things a bit easier on the eyes yet keep the cheerfulness. sunny

Lady the only thing I can figure is that it is the Mozilla browser. Can you try Internet Explorer or Google Chrome or maybe even Safari from Apple? Let me know if this continues to be a problem for you.

Funny I use Mozilla and no problem. I used to drag them where I wanted and then I learned I can just click on it and it appears where my cursor is placed. Embarassed But I have no problem with my Mozilla.
